Ebenezer Avery by his first wife. They settled in New London, where they lived until 1771, when they moved into the wilderness of New York, and settled in the town of Stephentown, Rensselaer County, east of Albany. He was one of the prominent men of the new settlement ; held some important positions conferred upon him by the partiality of the citizens of the new settlement. We make this extract from a memorandum book which he kept, and now in the hands of his grandson, Jonathan Denison, of South Berlin, N.Y. : "June 1771, I moved into this county from New London, and brought with me nine children." Have been going thru the "Denison Genealogy" site on your website. Came across a couple of possible errors.

1. John Denison(born 1530) is shown as being born in "Shortford". Other Denisons are born in "Stortford". Could there be a typo?

2. George Denison's (born 1620) wife Anne's name is spelled with 2 r's (Borrodell). Her son's name is spelled John Borodell. According to Ancestors and Descendants of Captain John James and Esther Denison of Preston, Connecticut compiled by Clara Paine Ohler, Lima, Ohio, 1912 there is 1 r.

3. Rachal Starr (wife of Daniel, sr), (born 1705). Per the book William Brewster of the Mayflower and the Fifth Generation Descendants of his son Jonathan, Barbara Merrick, Gen. Soc. of Mayflower Descendants, 1999, Rachal Starr was born September 15, 1705 in Groton, Connecticut and died February 4, 1791in Groton, Connecticut. She is buried in Ledyard Cemetery, New London, Connecticut.

4. Daniel Denison, jr. (born 16 Dec 1730). According to your "Denison Genealogy" site, he was buried Berlin, NY. but according to your "Denison Cemetery" site, he was buried in the Denison Cemetery in Stephentown.

Thanks for a great site and best wishes,
